Wilds of Africa at Busch Gardens

Discover the Wilds of Africa in Busch Gardens!   Teams will be challenged to ‘think outside the box’ or cage in this case.  Creativity, efficient resource allocation, intensive problem-solving and effective time management will propel teams into discovering the mysteries of the African wilderness.

The objective for the team is to earn as many performance revenues as possible while traveling throughout the park.  Teams will be given a set of clues at the start.  Their objective will be to solve the clue, locate the specific area, travel to the location and photograph the point of origin for each clue.  Participants will have the opportunity to experience the many areas of Busch Garden from the Congo to Morocco to the Serengeti Plain.  Some of the clues can only be solved by ‘riding or experiencing an attraction’.  The key to success is plotting an effective strategy and managing time while allowing for ‘change’ as teams proceed and run into unexpected challenges.

The designated time allocated to the event provides participants with the opportunity to see much of the park, experience the sights and sounds of the many animals, and engage in a variety of attractions all while solving the mysteries of each clue.

Learning Objectives:

  • Establishing a big picture of the opportunity and plotting an effective strategy to earn the most revenue points possible
  • Analyzing the ability of team members to determine the best utilization of resources
  • Creating ‘team buy-in’ so that each team member is showing up to the challenge and offering their unique contribution to the team
  • Evaluating the opportunities that exist – by stepping back and considering the ‘assumptions’ made in determining a course of action.  What would the possibilities be if the team had made different assumptions?
  • Thinking ‘beyond the team’ to increase revenue potential
THINK. ENGAGE. ACTIVATE. MANAGE.
