Build Green Toolkits to Teach Local Children
Team members will design, build, and create a toolbox of sustainable/organic/green household goods intended to educate children in local schools. There are four categories of learning modules: foods; recycling; cleaning products; water. Each team will develop and create a ‘storybook’ that leads students through stories of how to integrate sustainable living practices into their lives.
The Share the Green Team Challenge is an intensely collaborative, fast-paced, dynamic, innovative and competitive event that provides teams with a great way to build teamwork while giving back to the community. Working in teams, the group will roll up their sleeves, engage in some friendly competitive collaboration, and engage innovative minds to build and create the BEST toolbox for learning how to embrace and live a sustainable, organic, and green lifestyle.
The recipients of these toolbox gifts are students from local elementary schools to be used for general education and as a tool for teachers. The Share the Green toolboxes and storybooks will be delivered to local schools on your behalf as a gift to shape the future of our youth.
Program Overview
Foundation
Each team will receive all the materials and supplies needed for the Challenge: product samples for each category, toolbox, paint/decorations, storybook, etc. We recommend teams of 8 to ensure maximum participant interaction. Stationed at table rounds, the overall objective of the event will be revealed and rules of engagement reviewed.
Action
Teams will need to work collaboratively through a series of Team Adventure Challenges to earn the products and supplies for the Share the Green Toolbox. Toolbox Creation/Construction, Strategic Team Adventure Challenges, and Creating the Storybook requires teams to think quickly and strategically while executing solutions under the pressure of time.
Results
Teams will have the opportunity to display their work in the 'Sustainable Showroom' where all of the Share the Green Toolboxes will be placed together. Each team will be photographed with their Share the Green Toolbox. Photos throughout the entire event will be put together into a high-energy music/photo slideshow post program.
