Sarasota Adventure Challenge

The Sarasota Adventure Challenge can be held most anywhere in the Sarasota area – city parks, downtown Sarasota, and Sarasota Bay front, Longboat, Siesta, or Lido Keys. Multiple activities customized to the needs of the group are put together in a race-like format. Activities may include: foot navigation, kayaking, problem-solving exercises, creative initiatives, bikes, float tubes, etc. The group is split into teams with each team navigating their way through the various activities.

As the group comes together, a buzz of excitement and anticipation fills the room. Participants gather into teams to begin the Sarasota Adventure Challenge. Eyeing the competition, teams wait in anticipation for the Race Briefing.

Working against the clock, teams must navigate quickly and effectively through a series of activities that involve fast and efficient strategy development and deployment. The objective is for each team to earn a maximum amount of revenues for each activity in the designated race time.

Sarasota Adventure ChallengeSeems easy enough, but this isn’t about speed. It’s not the fastest team that wins, but the smartest team! Which team will balance their resources wisely and recognize the skills and strengths that each team member brings to the table?

The race clock ticks down to the start time and the race begins!  Teams arrive at the first adventure challenge and must quickly strategize and put their plan into action in the most efficient way possible.  How many teams will jump right into the task?  How many teams will look at the bigger picture and then proceed?  Who is the real team anyway?

The race clock keeps ticking as teams navigate from one activity to another.  Each team moves forward confidently knowing that hard earned revenues can be lost if the team shows up late to the next challenge!  Tension builds as passports are stamped, revenues are collected and teams race to the finish.

The clock stops as teams’ cross the finish line.  Passports are collected and revenue totals are tallied.  The teams review their race performance with laughter and disbelief.   They are sure their team has earned the most revenue!  The judges have the final revenue totals.  Teams gather together anxiously waiting to hear the results.  And the winners are?
