Put on your engineering caps and get ready to design and build a working Catapult. Teams move into motion through a series of phases before the final launch – Strategy and Design, Building, Testing, and final Execution. The Catapult might look good but will it perform? Team success is based on both distance and accuracy. A series of four launches earns each team valuable performance points!
Working in project teams, the overall objective of the Catapult Launch is to maximize performance points over four launches.
Design, Build and Test
Each team is issued construction materials to build the working Catapult. Teams that take their time and develop a sturdy design while allowing sufficient time for testing and retooling are teams that excel.
At the end of the official building phase, teams move their catapults to the launch area for final execution. A series of four launches measure distance and accuracy as teams position their catapults to maximize points within the launch area targets.
Teams finish with an interactive dialogue that pulls together key insights and takeaways that can be put into action upon return to the workplace.
Results & Celebration
Results are tallied and results are announced. The winners are?!
Requirements & Logistics
Corporate Teams commits to a seamless delivery and tight logistics from start to finish. Everything is handled behind the scenes: management of logistics with the meeting venue; permits (if required); shipping/tracking of all equipment and supplies.
All you have to do is get the team ready to go!
