Echostar Goes a Mile High in LoDo

052

What do singing groups and effective problem solving have in common? A group of engineers, that’s what!

It was a beautiful fall day in the Mile High City and Echostar invited their software engineering managers to trade a day at the office for an energetic Mission Impossible event through the LoDo area of Denver. Forty-five engineers came from their Englewood and Boulder offices and met at Coors Field ready for a fun filled competitive day. They stepped out of their traditional roles, worked in new teams, and got to know each other. And they took on each challenge with gusto. One engineer even showed up in a pirate costume!

Six teams planned their strategies and hit the downtown streets from Riverfront Park to the Performing Arts Center. Two teams took the very bold challenge of actually singing as a team – in public – in the center of Writers Square. Then did it a second time at the debrief for all of their colleagues to hear!

The morning wound up perfectly as the teams arrived energized at Lodos Bar and Grill rooftop for lunch and a vote on silliest team photo.
